What would you like to do?

Wellington is like a pearl set off by places of extraordinary natural beauty. Quiet countryside, unspoiled bushland, friendly cafes and a city that has been described by Lonely Planet as "the coolest little capital in the world". It has also been praised for its mix of big city culture with small town charm. There is no shortage of things to see and do and we'd be thrilled to show you our city.

We offer five basic tours to get you acquainted with this jewel of a city. You are welcome aboard on any of these tours, but why not design your own? Treat yourself and a loved one to an exciting, unforgettable ride. Tell us what you would like to see and we'll take you there. Whether as a birthday present, an anniversary present or a gift to clients, this is a great experience.

Tours

We offer five basic tours to show you Wellington, but you're very welcome to mix and match. Get in touch and tell us what you'd like to do.

Weta Workshop

Wellington wears its "Wellywood" nickname with pride. And wherever you're from, there's a good chance that you've watched The Lord Of The Rings trilogy or The Hobbit trilogy. Perhaps both.

If so, let us take you to the Weta Cave and workshop where you can take a tour and learn more about what went into making these Oscar winning movies and maybe buy some collectibles for your loved ones back home.

The Bays

Just a few minutes from Wellington's bustling CBD lie our city's scenic crown jewels: a series of wonderful, quiet bays, where the ocean laps quietly at the sand. Enjoy the tangy, salt air and the warming sun.

Add friendly cafes to the relaxed atmosphere and you can see why this is a great day out. Come and enjoy it with us.

Mount Victoria

The Mount Victoria Lookout really is a Wellington must-do.

Towering 196 metres above the city, the lookout affords stunning panoramic views of Wellington city, our sparkling harbour, and beyond.

Take a quick trip on the trike to get your bearings in this amazing town... or perhaps take a picnic with you and relax while watching ferries and cruise ships sailing gently into the harbour.

Whatever suits you best.

Brooklyn Wind Turbine

Although it sounds like a rather mundane destination, the Brooklyn Wind Turbine is in a high spot with great views of Wellington and, together with our famously clear skies, it often does feel like you can see forever. It really is a beautiful place to get the feel of our city.

Due to its closeness to the CBD and the great views, this is also a popular hiking destination for Wellingtonians.

This is a great choice if you want to experience triking, see a bit of Wellington and don't have a lot of time.

Martinborough wine tour

New Zealand is becoming justly famous for her wines.

This tour involves a pleasant ride through beautiful countryside to Martinborough, home of 20-odd vineyards. It's a village of great yesteryear charm where a memorable lunch can be had, accompanied with the excellent local wines.

FAQs

Do I have to own a helmet?

No, not at all. The trike comes to you equipped with a range of helmets. We're sure to have one that fits you!

Where do I get picked up?

If you're on a cruise liner, we can come pick you up. Otherwise, we can meet on the Petone foreshore or the trike could meet you in Wellington at your hotel or office. Call us and we will try to accommodate you.

"In a car you're always in a compartment, and because you're used to it you don't realize that through that car window everything you see is just more TV. You're a passive observer and it's all moving by you boringly in a frame. On a cycle the frame is gone. You're completely in contact with it all. You're in the scene, not just watching it anymore, and the sense of presence is overwhelming."
